In Morristown on Friday afternoon, Canton 35, Hammond 24
The Canton JV girls Basketball team continues to show improvement with a win over Hammond on Friday night. The young Bears got off the bus in Morristown at 3:50 and tipped it off at 4:00 and went on for a 35-24 victory.
Elle White continued her strong start leading Canton with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Cousins, Ashley Aldous and Jenna Larrabee (seven rebounds) also had big games scoring eight and seven points.
“ I didn’t know what to expect tonight but the girls really played well today. We did a much better job taking care of the basketball. I hope we continue in the right direction because the improvements over the last three weeks has been fun to watch. Today Ashley and Zayda Gaurin looked much more comfortable on the floor and had a good night”, commented Coach Mike Wentworth.
