“This was a great group to “come out of retirement” for,” said head coach Kate Porter. “I am very pleased with the progress that each player made. At our first match, there were very few players who could consistently serve the ball over the net, and by the end of the season, every player had earned service points. We drilled fundamentals at every practice and the players really bought into the idea of playing the game of volleyball, and working to get a bump, set and hit as often as possible in matches. I am confident that it will serve them well as they progress through the Golden Bear volleyball program. I thoroughly enjoyed working with this team. Their support for one another, on and off the court, was stellar, and their singing at the back of the bus on road trips was top notch!”
