In Dexter on Saturday morning, Canton 27, General Brown 42
The girls Basketball teams went on a trip to General Brown on Saturday morning to play against the Lions. The JV girls were short handed for the game, competing without a few key players, but showed a lot of heart in a losing effort 27-42. The Bears were led in scoring by sophomores Sara Aldous and Haley Burnett who each had 9 points in the game.
“General Brown has a very good basketball program with a lot of upperclassmen playing but I was happy with the way we competed for all 32 minutes. As a coach, you can’t ask for anything more. That game will make us better for our last two games,” stated Coach Wentworth.
The Cubs will be back on the court on Tuesday when they travel to Massena to play the Raiders. Game time is 5:30.
