The Canton Girls Varsity Hockey team lost a close match to the Oswego Buccaneers on Dec. 14 with the final score of the contest being 3-2 in favor of the Bucs. It was the Bears’ only game of the week due to unfavorable conditions which resulted in the rest of their games being canceled.
It was close the entire game, and with goals from Sydnee Francis and Taylor Stoll, the Bears were able to stay in the game as it progressed. Sydnee Francis also assisted on Taylor Stoll’s goal in the game, and Myrah Bullock closed out the stat sheet for the Bears with 19 saves of her own. Canton will face off against Alexandria Central on Dec. 21 at the Canton Pavillion.
