The Canton Girls JV Basketball team hosted the Franklin Academy Huskies on Monday night in Jerry Hourihan Gymnasium. The young Cubs topped the Huskies by the score of 44-19. Haley Burnett led all scorers with 12 points. Also scoring in the winning cause was Tessa Alguire (10 points), Sara Aldous and Jenna Larrabee (6 points), Elle White, Salma Moumen, Kaitlyn Redfern and Keegan Larson (2 points).
We showed a huge improvement tonight compared to Friday night at OFA. Our ball security and decision making was very good tonight.” Said Coach Wentworth.
Canton will not get much chance to rest because they host the always tough, Gouverneur Wildcats on Tuesday. Tip off scheduled for 6:00pm.
