The JV Boys Soccer team(5-0) hosted the Ogdensburg Blue Devils in a very physical game at home on Wednesday afternoon.
“Whenever we play against them it is always a battle. I was proud of how well the boys played in a very physical game,” said Head Coach Mike Wentworth.
The Bears were without leading scorer, eighth grade striker Will Andes who has been out for the last couple days. The Bears still scored first when eighth grader Grady Nee punched one in. Nee scored again in the second half to push the score to 2-1 and that is how the game finished up.
“Our defense has been so good all year. These guys take pride in shutting teams down,” Wentworth said.
The young Bears will be back in action on Saturday morning when they make the trip to Malone to face the Huskies.
