Hoy Perfect Against Huskies

On Friday afternoon at 3:00 pm in Malone against Franklin Academy, Canton 16  Malone 0

The Bears traveled to Malone on Friday afternoon to face the Franklin Academy Huskies in a Central league match up.  Canton got off the bus and started swinging the bats right away, scoring eight runs in the first inning and never looked back.  The final score was 16-0.

Ava Hoy started in the circle and pitched a Perfect Game, striking out 9 in five innings.  “Ava pitched outstanding today.  She did such a great job getting ahead in the count and that made all the difference in the world.  Anyone that knows Softball and Baseball knows that when a pitcher throws a perfect game the defense behind her must have played great and they did.”  from Coach Wentworth

Leading the way on the offensive side was Olivia Sero (3-3, 3 RBI) Courtney Peters (2-3), Sydney Francis 2-3, 4 RBI), and Lucy DeCoteau (2-4, double and 3 RBI)

The Bears will finish up the regular season at home on Saturday morning against Massena.  First pitch is scheduled for 10:00am.
