The Bears suffered a disappointing defeat against the Potsdam Sandstoners, losing 7-6. Errors crippled the Bears defense again, with 8 amongst the team.

The previous game was very high scoring, and in the first inning it looked to be that way again. The Sandstoners scored two in the top, but the Bears rallied in the bottom. A hit from Tanner Hazelton started the Bears off with a single. Sam Roiger reached on an error by the left fielder. Scott Ahlfeld singled, but the runners held. Colby Young flew out to the shortstop. Eric Zuhlsdorf walked to score Hazelton. Luke Wentwoth singled to score Roiger. Ahlfeld stole home to pick up the third run of the inning. The Bears left 2 on base.

The Sandstoners picked one up the next inning, and the Bears went down in order. Potsdam picked up another run in the third to go up by one, but Eric Zuhlsdorf layed down a perfect squeeze bunt to score Ahlfeld. Zuhlsdorf had 3 RBIs on the day.

Potsdam scored 3 in the next three innings, making the score 7-4. The Bears looked to mount a comeback in the 7th inning, as Lane Rayburn reached on an error. The top 2 of the Bears order both got out, but with 2 outs Ahlfeld beat a ground ball to the shortstop out for a single. Young followed suit with a bloop single out of the reach of any fielders. Zuhlsdorf reached on an error to score Rayburn, and Wentworth reached on an error by the first baseman. Down 7-6, the Bears could not pull any more miracles and lost.

Roiger pitched 4 innings, striking out 5, giving up 6 hits and 3 walks, with no earned runs. E. Zuhlsdorf pitched 1, gave up 5 walks and 1 earned run, striking out 1. Young pitched 2 scoreless, only having one hit against and striking out 2.
