The Golden Bears move to 2-0 with their second NAC victory over the Ogdensburg Blue Devils. The Bears came out firing off the opening faceoff scoring 7 unanswered goals. The offense was anchored by attackmen Daniel Mahoney and Aiden Hoose, who finished with 3 goals apiece. The offense was able to find rhythm early and carried the momentum throughout the course of the game.

Canton’s defense was stout from start to finish, carried by goalie Hayden Todd, senior defensemen Parker Hunt, Peter Coakley, and Schuyler Kennedy, and junior Rhett Palmer. Palmer was also instrumental in the offense, scoring two goals of his own and assisting on another.

As the game rolled on, every Golden Bears lacrosse member was able to make an impact on the field. Sophomore attackman Nolan Bombard scored his first career varsity goal early in the second quarter. Bombard went on to score 3 more bringing his total to 4 on the contest. Sophomore midfielders Josh Aldous and Cade Chezum both recorded their first varsity goals as well.

Goaltender Hayden Todd was solid in goal again for the Bears, recording 8 saves in the contest.

The Bears are back in action again this Friday, taking on the Watertown Cyclones at 5:00 p.m. in Watertown.
