“We came out and scored five runs in the first and followed that up with four each in the 2nd and 3rd innings. When you put runs up like that and throw strikes it makes for fun softball. This was probably our best defensive game so far, so all the hard work is paying off.” stated Head Coach Mike Wentworth. The Bears will be in action again on Thursday as they will make the trip to Brasher to face off with St. Lawrence Central.
The JV Bears also topped Massena by the score of 24-1. Lucy DeCoteau, Ava Hoy, Katie Metcalf and Olivia Sero each had 2 hits apiece in the game. Courtney Peters pitched a two hitter, striking out 7 batters on the day.
