The Canton Golden Bears traveled to Potsdam on Monday to take on the Potsdam Sandstoners. The Bears came out with a victory defeating the Sandstoners 67-25.
The Bears started out hot with 15 points in the first 4 minutes of the game. Canton starting forward Luke Wentworth came out firing, scoring seven points within the first few minutes of the game. Although a strong start for the Bears, Potsdam was only down 12 at the half.
Canton then came out explosive, totaling 38 points in the second half and putting the game out of reach for the Sandstoners. It was a team effort by the Bears as 10 of their 13 players scored in the game with John O’Neill, Luke Wentwoth and Vincent Nelson-Fuse all scoring 10 or more points.
Canton looks to keep this winning streak going as they take on Potsdam again on Wednesday in the Jerry Hourihan Gymnasium.
