Canton wrapped up its final regular season tournament on Saturday placing fifth out of 20 teams at the Commodore Invitational in Vergennes, Vt. It was a balanced team effort with six wrestlers placing in their weight classes.
Canton was led byjJunior Matt Haycook who finished first at 113 lbs. and Senior Randy Clifford who took second at 145 lbs. Joining them on the podium were Noah Curry (sixth at 99 lbs.), David Zuhlsdorf (sixth at 120 lbs.), Hunter Blauvelt (fourth at 160 lbs.) and Kaleb Hamilton (fourth at 182 lbs.).
Canton will be competing in their final duals of the season over the next two weeks hosting a tri-meet this Thursday evening, Jan. 30, against Gouverneur and South Jefferson and then traveling to Ogdensburg on Wednesday Feb. 5.
