Since 2002, the Canton Pavilion (Outer Lincoln Street, Canton) has hosted a weekly ladies’ pick-up hockey hour, organized by the Canton-Potsdam “Ms. Conducts.” This season, the recreational group will skate on Sundays from 5-5:50 p.m.
Women of all ages and skill levels are welcome. No previous hockey experience is required, although basic skating experience is a big plus. The goal of each outing is to get a good workout, practice skills, have fun, and avoid visits to the emergency room (so body contact is limited, and play should be controlled).
Drop in rate is $10. A discount is offered or those who pre-pay for the full fall season (mid-October though December 29th). Questions can be directed to the Ms. Conducts Facebook page or to the Ms. Conducts via email at ckkelson@hotmail.com.
