The JV football squad failed to score in their season debut as they lost to Malone 12-0.

The game started slow, with both teams exchanging short drives that ended in punts.
Malone finally ended the drought with a long drive that consisted of short drives that wore down the Bears’ defense. The drive was completed with a four yard touchdown run by the Huskies’ running back.
The bears had a strong defensive stop on the Huskies’ two point try.
With seconds left in the first half, the Huskies struck again with a long touchdown pass, but again the Bears came up strong stopping the two point try.
The second half was an improvement for the bears. They were able to shut out the Huskies offense and put together many succesful drives, but still could not finish.
The game ended 12-0 and the Huskies, who won the Section X JV league last year, improves to 1-0, as the bears fell to 0-1.
The bears are back in action this Friday in a non-league match up at Watertown.
