There will be a second round of sign ups on Wednesday, September 29 from 5-7 p.m. and on Saturday, October 2 from 8:30-10 a.m. for the 2021 Canton Hoopsters basketball seasons. Registration will take place at the high school concession stand. Due to the pandemic, only kids from the Canton school district will be allowed to play this year. 1st & 2nd Grade Basketball
The first and second grade basketball program is run on Saturday mornings from 8:00 am-9:00 am in the Banford School Gymnasium. The program is designed to introduce the sport
of basketball to children. This is not a competitive atmosphere; it is designed to teach the children basketball skills in a fun and exciting way. Cost per child is $35 or $60 for a family. Due to
Covid protocols, everyone will need to wear a mask when indoors.

3rd & 4th Grade Basketball
The third and fourth grade basketball program is run on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings. The group will be divided into coed teams. The first twenty to thirty minutes of each practice the coach will work on basketball skills and different warm up activities. The remaining time will be a four on four game. The main goal of this level is to introduce the kids to game situations while not

rotating basis each day for one hour.

5th & 6th Grade Basketball
The 5th and 6th grade basketball program is run on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Boys and girls play separately and will be divided into a certain number of teams based on the number of players that sign up. The boys and girls will play in the Middle School Gym and the High School Gym. Basketball skills, different warm up activities, and games will be played.
