Seniors Hadley Alguire and Maddie Mitchell helped lead the Bears to victory last night in their last home game of the regular season. The Bears took a quick 20-point lead early in the 1st quarter with baskets spread between Downs, Hoy, Gabriel and White. 12 points from Sophomore, Calie Klassen and a strong Bears defense in the 2nd quarter shut out the Shamrocks holding them to a 43-4 lead at the half.
The Shamrocks attempted to chip away at the big lead in the 3rd quarter scoring 13 points but Canton remained strong and came up with the win. It was a perfect ending for senior, Hadley Alguire making the last basket of her last regular-season home game.
The Bears will be back at it Tuesday night as they battle the Massena Red Raiders in another pivotal league game.
