The JV volleyball team traveled to Gouverneur to play the wildcats and came out victorious, winning three sets to zero. The Bears dominated behind amazing efforts from the entire team.
In the game, the Bears dominated around the net with 19 total kills, Cecily Shipman leading the Bears with six total. But where the Bears had a lot of success was from behind then end line, racking up an impressive 17 total aces, with Laney Thornton putting up five of her own. The first set went into extra time, with the Bears eventually winning it 26-24.
Although the Wildcats put up a valiant effort the Bears depth and grit led them to a win. The Bears dominated the second set 25-14 and polished off the game with a 25-23 last set to take the win.
The JV volleyball team is off to a solid start and they look to keep this train chugging in a game against Madrid-Waddington on Monday night in the Houli Dome.
