Canton Girls JV Softball teams started off the week beating Malone by a score of 7-2. Tessa Alguire was dominant in the pitching circle striking out 17 batters. Handling the catching duties were Jenna Larrabee and Maya Thomas.
Offensively the Bears hit the ball hard and scored in every inning except one. Going two for four at the plate was Alguire and Chloe Baxter. Olivia Sommerstein also added two runs and three stolen bases for the Bears.
The team will be at Gouverneur on Wednesday.
