Canton JV Girls Softball team blanked Massena on Thursday by a score of 15-0. In the circle pitching for the Bears was Tessa Alguire hurling 6 strikeouts and no hits. Marilisa Salvi-Miguel also flexed her pitching strength contributing 4 strikeouts in the victory.
Offensively the Bears continue to develop some strong bats. Coach Carla Wentworth noted with pride, “Everyone had at least one hit in the game……awesome!” Going 3 for 4 at the plate were Kyleigh Gollinger and Olivia Sommerstein. It is safe to say that the team had a solid game both offensively and defensively.
The Bears return home tonight (Friday). Game time is 5:00pm.
