The Canton Girls JV Basketball traveled to Franklin Academy on Tuesday night and came away with a 44-18 victory. The Bears were led in a well balanced scoring attack by Winnie Downs and Tessa Alguire who pumped in 9 and 8 points. Olivia Francey and Haley Burnett also put up 6 points on the scoreboard in the winning cause. “Malone was a little shorthanded because of COVID protocols but we still played much better tonight on both sides of the ball. It was nice to see so many different girls score tonight. Vivian Coburn and Laurel Whittier did a great job distributing the basketball to girls in good spots tonight.” The Central Division leading Bears will be on the road again on Thursday night as they will travel to OFA to face the Blue Devils in a 5:30 tip off.
Varsity Score: Canton 43 Malone 32 The Canton Varsity Girls basketball team battled Franklin Academy to a 43-32 victory on Tuesday night to run their win streak to three games. Ava Hoy led the Bears with 13 points followed by senior Amelia Rodee and Maddie Hoy who chipped in 9 and 8 points in the winning cause.
