The Bears JV Girls Basketball team took a day trip to Edwards Knox Central School on Monday afternoon to play the Cougars. The Bears were sluggish early on the offensive side of the ball but managed to walk away with a 39-22 victory. “We struggled as a team today offensively but we grinded it out for a “W”. Vivian Coburn had a great shooting night which really carried us today. As a team we just need to continue to cut down on our turnovers and give ourselves a chance to score more often”, said Coach Wentworth.
The Bears were led in scoring by Vivian Coburn who netted 15 points, followed up by Olivia White with 7 points and Winnie Downs with 4 points/5 Rebounds.
The young Bears will hop back on the bus and head to Malone on Tuesday to face the improving Huskies. Tip Off is scheduled for 5:30.
