The Canton Golden Bears Boys Varsity Soccer Team won their third straight to Gouverneur, 6-0 in the first game of the playoffs. The Bears improved as a team throughout the game and more importantly found the back of the net more than once.

The Bears started off the scoring early, with Josh Aldous scoring on a pass from Kaden Baxter. The Bears continued the pressure and scored three more in the first half, Scott Ahlfeld, Ethan Francy, and Brad Frank on passes from Ryan Jones and Baxter. The Bears booted the ball around in the first half and were rewarded for their efforts, but will have to play better in the game vs Salmon River on Wednesday, and looked to possess and control the ball in the second half. Canton scored two, coming from Nate Romano and Jonney McLear on passes from Christian Simons and Jacob Rosales.

The Bears look to continue their recent success in the playoffs on Wednesday, 3 p.m. in Salmon River.
