The Canton Golden Bears Boys Varsity soccer team came out on top versus the Gouverneur Wildcats, 5-1.

In a game where everybody saw time on the field, the Bears played consistently well throughout the entire game, short one play on a corner kick, where a Wildcat head met the ball and placed it well out of reach of goaltender Cade Chezum. This happened in the second half when the Bears had built a substantial lead, and was not of much concern.

The Bears goals and assists came from Bradley Frank, with two goals one assist, Josh Aldous with a goal, Vincent Nelson-Fuse with a goal, Hayden Todd with a goal, Daniel Rosser with an assist, Cade Chezum with an assist on a punt from the net, Zack Moumen with an assist, and Owen Hall with an assist.

The Bears would also like to congratulate Michel Cogdill for having both the most goals disallowed and the most offsides in a game, with 2 and 7 respectively. Goal-hungry Cogdill was an offensive presence throughout both the first and second half, and played well despite his troubles with being offside. The Bears move to 2-4 in league play, and will look to continue their successes from this game to the second half of their season. The Bears will play Friday in Madrid.
