The Modified Bears lost their first game of the season Tuesday night to Massena. The final score was 14-5.
Massena played a great game and came out aggressively. They swung the bat, took advantage of walks, and played good defense. It was the flip- flop scenario of Friday night’s game where Canton won 8-0.
Tessa Alguire pitched four innings striking out ten and allowing four runs. Marilisa Salvi- Miguel pitched two innings adding one strike out and allowing ten runs.
Alguire hit a home run in the top of the fourth inning which scored three runs. Canton added one more run that inning which briefly gave them the lead. After that it was all Massena.
This loss brings Canton’s record to 8-1. The Bears will be back on the road Monday in Malone for their last away game of the season. The game is scheduled for a 4:30 start.
