JV Boys Finish their Season off With a Strong Win

Canton defeated Heuvelton by a score of 52-43 in the Houli Dome on Tuesday. The Bears finished their season off with a big victory over a team that had previously beaten them by more than 15 points in their last meeting.

Canton had a solid offensive performance but what really won them the game was their defense. In their first meeting Canton let up 24 points in the first quarter. In the second meeting Canton only let up 15 points in the first two quarters combined. Joe Worbel for Heuvelton had previously scored 25 points for Heuvelton in their first meeting but the Bears held him scoreless in their second meeting.

Luke Wentworth led the charge for the Bears, scoring 16 points in the game with Freshman Ryan Jones not far off his tail with 13 of his own. Also with Vincent Nelson-Fuse, John O’Neill and Ayomi Odetoyinb all scoring six or more points.

The Bears look to have a strong off-season and come back better then ever next year.
