Jenni is the daughter of Triva and Mike Haycook. She has maintained a high honor roll status throughout high school, has been a member of the New York State Scholar-Athlete team every season in which she has participated in athletics, currently maintains a 96.4 grade point average and will finish in the top ten of her graduating class and as a Section X Senior Athlete of Distinction.
Jenni has volunteered countless hours for her school community specifically by assisting the varsity wrestling team with scoring at home matches and by maintaining and updating the National Wrestling Database Track Wrestling for our team. https://www.trackwrestling.com/TWHome.jsp?loadBalanced=true Her efforts allow our Canton wrestlers a chance to compare themselves to others in around the state and nation. Jenni has a younger brother, Matt Haycook who has who is a Sectional Wrestling Champion and her father Mike serves as our varsity wrestling coach.
Jenni at one time also participated in girls lacrosse and indoor track and field but her primary focus has always been soccer. As mentioned above she has spent many hours traveling to Canada to participate on winter and spring soccer teams. Coach Greg Kiah commented, “Jenni is one of the most dependable and consistent girls I have ever coached. She brings the same intensity to practices, scrimmages and games. She has a quiet demeanor vocally but the example which she sets physically speaks very loudly. We will miss her and wish her the very best at Clarkson.”
