It was senior night for the Canton Boys Varsity Basketball team, but the result was not the one they hoped for.
After a close first quarter, that went back and forth, Ogdensburg held onto a 15-11 lead going into the first break. However, they turned things on in the second quarter to take a 20 point halftime lead.
The Bears were determined to come out with a win on senior night. The Golden Bears rallied in the 3rd quarter to cut the lead to 16.
Early in the fourth quarter Ogdensburg extended their lead to 20 points again, but the Bears refused to give up. They made a run that cut the Ogdensburg lead to 12 points. Despite this, they were not able to get any closer.
The Bears were led in scoring by Ashton Cloce with 20 points, while Andy Downs notched a double-double (14 points, 10 rebounds). Caleb Bentley-Hicks added 9 points and Chris Downs added 8.
