The Canton girls modified basketball team split with Massena on Friday night in Canton. The eighth graders ran by the Red Raiders for the second time this season winning 32-14, while the seventh graders fell 21-8.
Katie Metcalf scored eight of her game-high 10 points in the second half to pace the eighth-grade squad. Josie Gabriel and Ava Ames dropped in seven points apiece. Stella Shipman had six points, and Laurel Whittier had two.
Vivian Coburn scored five points to lead the seventh-grade team. Sara Aldous added two points and Winnie Downs had one. Both teams are back in action on Monday when they hit the road to play at Malone
