The JV football team secured a league win beating the Ogdensburg Free Academy Blue Devils 28-14.

A strong rushing game led by sophomore running back Collin Parmeter led to continued sucess by the Bears’ offense.
The Bears struck first after a solid predominantly rushing drive that was capped off by a short TD carry by sophomore quarterback Daniel Mahoney. The Bears then failed on their two point conversion.
The Blue Devils struck next on a pass play that led to a Devils touchdown. The Devils also failed on their two point try, leaving the game knotted at 6-6.
The Bears then put together another long drive with carries by Parmeter and sophomore running back Hayden Todd, and a catch by freshman wide reciever Erich Zuhlsdorf. The drive was again capped off with a TD run by Mahoney.
The Bears were unable to cash in on the two point try making it 12-6 headed into half.
The Bears quickly struck again with a 45 yard TD connection between Mahoney and sophomore wide receiver Lane Rayburn. This time the Bears were able to cash in the two point try to make it 22-6.
The Bears were the next to strike after a good defensive stop. This time it was Parmeter who found the end zone on a strong rush behind great blocking. The Bears could not convert their two point try making the score 28-6
The Devils tried rally late with a touchdown and successful two point try to make it 28-14 but the Bears held strong to secure the 28-6 win.
The team is back on the road next week on Saturday in Saranac Lake at 10:00 a.m.
