Girls JV Soccer Team Preview and Weekly Recap

The Bears took on their first non-league game beating Brushton-Moira. The team then went to a two-game tournament in Watertown and lost both games but played very well considering the sizes of the schools. Then the Bears took on the Potsdam Sandstoners for their home opener and won 4-2 on Monday. On this Friday the Bears traveled over to Massena and lost 3-0 in a tough fought game.

The girls JV soccer team this year consists of 16 girls, including one eighth grader, 11 ninth graders, and four tenth graders.

The girls JV team is a very close team with a tight knit group. The team has this headband that is a fun thing we do every year that goes around the team from player to player because the player that has it thinks they did really good in practice that week and stood out, this headband is in loving memory of a girl that was once on the team and had cancer.

Catch the bears back in action on Monday 9/16 vs. Malone home at 4:30.
