The Canton JV boys soccer team defeated OFA 5-2 tonight in their first game of the season.

The first half was relatively quiet until Josh Aldous scored off a corner kick from Tanner Hazelton to start things off. After halftime, the Bears poured on the goals to push the score to 5-0. Josh Aldous had two goals on the night. Bradley Frank, Cooper Ladouceur and Owen Hall also scored for the Bears.
Jack Kerrigan and Owen Hall both finished with two assists. Ogdensburg battled back and scored two goals late but Canton had too much of a cushion.
Scotty “Rudy” Ahlfeld had the defensive play of the night late in the 2nd half by deflecting a shot on the goal line just before it went into the net.
“Rudy always seems to be in the right place at the right time,” said Coach Mike Wentworth.
The JV Bears play next on Monday, when they travel to Potsdam to take on the Route 11 Rival Sandstoners at 4:30 p.m.
