Last Saturday Morning, August 31, the Bears JV football team faced Plattsburgh in a controlled scrimmage. Though score was not kept, the Bears had a strong performance and showed great promise in many areas.
One area that the Bears showed strength in was the depth of their bench. Whether it was the starters or players coming off of the bench, the bears seemed to play well together and control the scrimmage.
The bears played well, but they recognize that there is still room for improvement.
“We were happy with our performance, but we realize that there is still room for growth as we prepare for Malone this week,” said sophomore defensive end Jonah Longshore.
So as the bears practice this week, they will take the successes from the scrimmage into account and work to add to them to prepare for this week’s match up.
The bears face Malone at home on Friday, September 6th at 4:15 PM.
